FBW throttle query (REV)

Evening!

I’ve noticed in the FBW 320 you can no longer go past a certain % on fhe N1 gages.

Toga is 80%. This could be a very silly question I just don’t know!

Is this the norm? It appears this has only been implemented

TOGA thrust limit follows real life values as good as possible. On the A320neo TOGA values are in that range.

Many FLEX take-offs are even in the range of 75% N1.

Thank you very much! I wasn’t sure

Just wanted to add this picture. Max throttle is 82% toga.

Not sure if it makes sense but is this correct

values looking good.
you are Thrust limited which is normal
your High Pressure Shaft (N2) is at 102%

Ah ok wasn’t sure!

Thanks for that

As an example directly from the FCOM of a A320neo with LEAP-1A engines:

In Pressure Altitude 0 ft with TAT of 10°C the TOGA thrust limit is 83.1% N1. If Packs are on you need to subtract 0.4 %.

Those tables are coded into the A32NX…

Very helpful thank you for this!

As a real-life example look here:

Keep in mind it’s a FLEX take-off that does not use full thrust. Additionally, when you look at videos on YouTube you should be sure that you’re watching a video of an A320neo with LEAP-1A. Otherwise, the values are not comparable. Every type and engine have its own limit tables.

Having said that, we are not fully happy with the current limits in the A32NX and so there is currently work undergoing to improve them. It’s a complex topic so it will take of bit of time.

Really cool thank you for sharing this!

I pretty much always used TOGA!
