Unfortunately your answer lies in the very thing that makes a PC so unique is also the thorn in its side. There are soooooooo many different configurations out there, one slight difference or extra piece of code that was left behind and you have a hair pulling experience.
Xbox is not the villain. The constant upgrade patch for a better sim is. I suggest you go back to a vanilla game and start there or just buy an Xbox.
