Admins of the Official Discord aren’t taking care of piracy in the server at all. The Admins cared about not hosting liveries on the server, but not caring about piracy. People are sharing links to payware content from allflightmods & msfsaddons (that these “anonymous” people are uploading to these sites) but none of the Moderators are taking these messages down.
allflightmods & msfsaddons should be added to the blacklist of websites but they’re not (they should also be added to the blacklist on these forums as well). These websites steal mods and upload illegal copies of aircraft that are in violation of piracy laws.
Discord also goes against piracy as stated in the ToS, and as a Discord Partner you are obligated to follow these rules or Discord can have servers deleted and de-partnered if they get any reports.
Who knew that Asobo supported this kind of behavior.
These sites are uploading airports of paid mods, and uploading aircraft that you had to buy from FSX DLC (and other titles) in order to use. Yes, all against piracy laws.
It’s common-sense as a Discord team they should know these sites are hosting pirated content. I shouldn’t have to DM a Moderator every time a link pops up. If it wasn’t an issue, I wouldn’t be making this thread to tell Asobo staff directly.
If the creators of these mods are “anonymous” that are telling the site owners about these mods, the owners definitely know it’s pirated content. They’re not dumb lol. If it wasn’t pirated, the creator of the mod wouldn’t be “anonymous.”
Thanks for bringing this to our attention. Unfortunately there are over 45k members on the discord server with thousands of message sent every day. Moderators try and monitor as best as they can but even we can miss things. If you do see something that is out of order please use the report command and report the messages and it will let all online moderators know.
