AP turns off near 25 miles to land at EHAM 18R with Fenix A320. I can not turn it on.
Same problem yesterday night aproaching LFPO with new Fenix update.
Did you realized, that you are going to stall the plane? Ok, well, an Airbus can’t be stalled but you’re in Alpha protection and that’s the reason why the AP disengaged, The Airbus is talking to you……the wording is something like“ hey man, check your atitude, check your thrustsetting, what are you doing there? I’m not able to fly that plane anymore, it’s your turn now“
You mean my speed and my altitude are to low, so the AP turn off.
Not your altitude but your attitude. Your have a 15 degrees nose up pitch and yes, your speed is short before your red band and that’s way to slow. That’s the reason why alpha floor protection kicked in and this is a fligtphase which cannot be handled by the AP anymore.
So, regarding to your screenshot: get appropriate airspeed, get your attitude leveled and when it’s done, your AP will work again.
And another thing, there is probably a warning on your ecam. Can’t read it, but there is something in red written on the left.
So whatever happened before, something went terrible wrong before your AP disengaged.
Next time, I will try to get appropriate airspeed and attitude leveled, and wait AP to work.
The warning on Ecam was that AP was off.
Thanks.
After I download the latest version of Fenix, I was on a flight but could not climb to any higher altitude (the button didn´t work), because the speed crossed the red line. Only when I put the speed outside the red line, I could climb to a higher altitude. This is an effect of the “alpha floor protection”, I think.
