Fenix A320 crash/slams into the ground on approcah (Flight model bug)

This is a crazy bug me and a lot of Fenix A320 users have noticed, even the Fenix sim devs.

So upon approach, the aircraft slams into the ground.. the location doesn’t matter because this has happened EGGK RWY26, EBBR RWY01/25L/R, LOWI RWY26, and LGIR RWY27, it happened for me in all sorts of weather conditions like rain, storm, sunny, overcast, live weather, day and night time and air pressure fro 1010 hPA, to up to 1027 hPa.

I have opened a support ticket where the support team told me that “this is a problem only Asobo can fix” so they can’t do anything about it.. through this post I’m trying to set the pressure on Asobo to fix this problem and deliver a hotfix or communicate with the Fenixsim devs to get this sorted it out so I can fly again with no fear of this happening.

Have you disabled/removed all your mods and addons?

yes

Hello,
The Bug Reports section is only for first-party bugs. Something like the Fenix A320 would not qualify. I have moved your post to Aviate, Navigate, Communicate, where people can discuss various flying issues.

Also, in the future, when logging bugs, we ask that people not delete parts of the bug template. Thank you!

I just experienced this bug trying to land at RKSS ILS Z 14L a couple times and came searching here. After searching on reddit, this forum, and fenix’s discord; it seems like this is a rather well known issue with the fenix and is sort of a Heisenbug. Some people have it sometimes, others never do.

Over on the discord they say it’s an Asobo issue, although no one clarifies what the exact issue is.

Some people say disabling FSRealistic fixes it, others say land at 5kts above Vapp and flaps at 3 instead of full.
I tried it 3 times at RKSS and the same thing happens every time, unless I autoland. I haven’t seen any problems with autoland.

I’m gonna try landing at other airports with some add-ons disabled and update it here.

The fenix discord was the first thing I tried since I’m aware that the Fenix A320 a third party add on is. In the fenix discord they told me that this is an Asobo problem, I even contacted their support please refer to a screenshot I attached here

I noticed aswel that autoland will fix this problem, and also if you do a visual approach I.E. disconnecting autopilot before 500 agl and you start the visual. This only happens when you apply forward pressure and all the values line up correctly you will get the slam in to the ground.. I’m going to try to do the +5 knots vapp

Hello,
Thanks for the follow-up.
The guidance that we have been given is that it is up to the developer to work with the team to get it fixed.

That is very interesting and must be frustrating! I only fly Fenix and have over 700 hours on it! Never experienced this!

I’ve not experienced it either, but it must be a right PITA, particularly after a long flight.

Have any sufferers tried one of those apps that displays the control inputs, to see if it might be some unexpected and un-commanded, “phantom”, inputs causing the issue or is it definitely a flight model problem?

I’ve had this issue for most of this year and have tried all sorts of fixes - certainly going to full flaps makes the bus unflyable. I use the TCA Captain’s Airbus hardware pack.

I usually disable the AP stable at 1000 feet with flaps 2 and almost immediately sink below the glideslope - I then get the Speed Speed warning and it just falls out of the sky.

I will try the slightly faster approach and flaps 3 as suggested here to see what difference it makes.

Fenix support was hopeless and closed my ticket to get rid of me.

Do you have the same issue if you follow the OP’s steps to reproduce it?

yes absolutely

Provide extra information to complete the original description of the issue:

It is marginally better with Flaps 3 rather than Full but still looses speed and stalls - Autothrottle remains on throughout
