Fenix A320 - Issues with Sim Rate

I’ve been trying to use Sim Rate to complete flights a little faster, but whenever I increase the Sim Rate to 2x, it goes straight back down to 1x instantly. Only thing I can do is hold down the button but that will then increase the Sim Rate to a very high rate that makes the Sim go crazy.

Is there any way to fix this problem? Thanks.

What plane? Or all planes?

On what platform?

On PC the default is Alt-R to enable it, and when enabled + key increases and - decreases. This is working for me in MSFS2024 SU3.

Fenix a320

Yeah, I’ve been using them keybinds but as soon as I push + it goes down without even pushing -

The Fenix is one of only two planes that I’m aware of where you can’t change the sim rate via the normal method. However, the Fenix allows you to change it in the MCDU. It’s on the maintenance page, which is rather strange but that’s where it’s been for years I guess.

Thank you so much! I never knew the Fenix had its own way to change the Sim rate. Really appreciate your help

Hi, I wanted to use the 4x simrate on my A320 on a long flight, but the aircraft became unstable. Due to the shaking, I couldn’t switch the 4x to 1x on the MCDU and had to terminate the flight. Have you experienced this issue?

I seem to recall that Fenix originally limited the A32x to 2X simrate because it was too unstable at 4X. Only fairly recently (a year ago maybe?) did they allow 4X, but they called it an experimental setting at the time.

I once had issues at 4X but was able to recover. I’ve got a fairly modest system (see my user profile), and otherwise have had no issues with 4X. YMMV.
