Fenix A320 - serious difficulty in installing third party liveries

Hi everyone,
I’ve been trying really hard to get a couple of third party liveries loaded onto the Fenix A320 - but no luck. I know that the Fenix Livery Manager will only display and handle official Fenix liveries. Maybe someone can help me?

HERE’S THE CURRENT FILE STRUCTURE OF FENIX OFFICIAL LIVERIES

D:\ MSFS \ COMMUNITY \ FNX-AIRCRAFT-320-LIVERIES
3 directories and 2 files
LIVERIES
LIVERY PREVIEW IMAGES
SIMOBJECTS
layout.json
manifest.json

The Fenix liveries from their downloader are then kept in the SIMOBJECTS folder in another folder within it called AIRPLANES

Each airplane looks like this - for example

FNX_320_IAE_BMAGMIDY (this is the folder)
accompanied by 2 files and 1 folder
aircraft.cfg
liveryData.json
Folder is TEXTURE.BMAGMIDYAL

HERE’S WHAT I HAVE TO WORK WITH
The livery I downloaded comes as

Host Folder “fnx-aircraft-320-Airtours-International”
Containing
“SimObjects” folder
File 1 layout.json
File 2 manifest.json

The “Sim Objects” folder contains another folder called “Airplanes”

This folder contains another folder called “FNX_320_IAE_Airtours_International” and inside that is a folder called “TEXTURE.FlightFlow” and a file called aircraft.cfg.

I’m not an expert but it feels to me that the download is not quite in the right format that the other Fenix liveries are using.

Please can someone help me with how I need to configure the files and what goes where? It would be great appreciated!!

Thanks, Julian

I’ve tried reaching out to many people but can’t get an answer that works, simply putting it in the community folder just does not work.

All you have to do is put the downloaded file into the community folder, it doesn’t go into the Fenix folder.

As stated, there’s no magic with the Fenix and Liveries, just download and place in the Community folder.

If you are downloading third party liveries from like flightsim.to, make sure they are V2 compliant to match the aircraft upgrade from Fenix. Older liveries will not display.

straight from the makers …
Airtours International (G-RDVE) | Fenix Simulations A320 V2 [Block 2] for Microsoft Flight Simulator | MSFS

What’s wromg with the 288 liveries you get from Fenix …

You have to unzip the file, and in the folder you will see multiple folders. Make sure that if you unzip it, it might create a “top folder” where the actual folder to put in community is in. If so, copy the folder inside that one into community…

nothing, but there is not every REG or Operator included and they dont include cabin. Also there are more detailed liveries available from 3rd party creators.

I am having this issue i fly for a VA and want to use their liveries. Bur no matter what i rry i can not get rhem to show when i go to rhe a220 config section. I have tried putting rhem in the cumunitee folder and in the same folder as the ones installed via the livery manager.

It does seem to have happened since rhe last update though.

Im happy to upload the file ro see if anyone can fet it to load, trying to work out if its my install or not.
