There were only ever about 1600 Beavers made compared with over 40,000 172s but in the Employee missions in Career mode, the Beaver is significantly over represented. I would think that flights involving them would be pretty rare.

I wholeheartedly agree! I wish I hadn’t even gotten my Tailwheel Cert because then I think those missions wouldn’t appear. If I could go back…
Having said that, I see a lot of missions with the Beaver that I’m not even sure I could fly if I owned one. See here…
Those are snaps from the EFB of 3 different missions. Are we really expected to buy a Beaver of all 3 flavors to be able to fly these missions?? At 800K a pop? Does anyone know if you buy 1 Beaver, can it fly any Beaver mission?
And while we’re at it, is there ANY way to see what plane a Freelancer mission requires without clicking on the mission, then also opening the EFB? It’s ridiculous. Employee missions show what aircraft you are going to fly right when you hover over the mission in the map.
EDIT: It seems if you click on a Freelancer mission and open the EFB, the aircraft that shows isn’t one you are required to fly. Simply click on “Accept Mission” if it’s one you want to fly, then it will assess a fee to transfer the plane of your choice there. Once you are in the pre-flight screen, you can open the EFB again and the aircraft will have changed from the one in the map preview. Wish I had figured this out sooner. I paid over 45k credits to move my plane to Europe because it was the only place, out of dozens of missions, I could find one for a Skyhawk.
