The scenery is beautiful for sure, and I’m so grateful to finally have the real Dallas skyline available. However, I’ve been getting black screens and/or CTDs on every attempt to fly an ILS or RNAV approach into there with the TBM 930 or the Longitude. I also tried with the Mooney, the Bücher and the steam gauge 172, and those seemed to work OK. Xbox Series X.
Hi All,
I have had KDAL for a number of months now. I really love the product and it is a perfect fit for me as I love flying Southwest whilst simming in the U.S. However in the last two months I have had a major terrain issue with the airport at the Runway 13L/R end of the field.
I have contacted support and they tell me that it is not a problem at there end it is another add on that I have. I don’t have any other add on close to KDAL. The closest airport to KDAL I have is KSAT and KMSY.
Is anyone else experiencing this or figured out the issue?

Same here.
Looks like terrain visible from satellite image below. Like an altitude issue by the KDAL addon. Also don’t have any other scenery around.
Interesting fact: if I switch off KDAL addon, tge default scenery produces same mistake.

Clearing my Rolling Cache solved this issue. Even if you do not have Rolling Cache enabled try clearing it.

Runway textures sink towards end of 31L/beginning of 13R.
Looks like a weird elevation problem.

Very late to the party, but this might help others. I determined the root cause is video processing. Upgrading from a 1080Ti to a 3070Ti instantly got rid of all the runway tears. Haven’t seen one in months, even in the airports that always had them before.
That’s an unfortunately expensive option, but it does work.
That’s not the solution. I’m on a 4090. 
DX12, which I run, causes some strange texture issues at payware airports. May be worth a shot if only temporarily to switch back and see if it goes away. May not confirm your elevation diagnosis but will rule something else in it out that you can isolate.
Does anyone know if Samscene’s USA Modern Cities 3 (which includes a better Dallas skyline) can be made to play nicely with the iBlueYonder scenery? Thanks…

For the benefit of anyone else wondering about compatibility between KDAL’s and Samscene’s city, I just had a response from Bill at iBlueYonder. There is a configurator that has an option to disable the city — however I doubt this will be the case with the Marketplace version — however since IniBuilds offer a transfer service for iBlueYonder products, it shouldn’t be an issue.
