Yes, you read that right. This plane, that is fictional, unlike the plane it’s named for, and will kill you, if not with the G’s (it’s said to be capable of 80+) then in this case, being in space without a space suit.
It was really hard to handle at this altitude, because there’s practically no air this high, and apparently MSFS actually models that, although I don’t think they expected many people to actually be up here. I finally ran into an altitude I could not penetrate, either because the plane itself just can’t go there, or I suspect it was actually the very top of the altitudes available in the sim model. I reached the top.
The PFD in this pic looks horrible for unknown reasons. The other cockpit pic is clear as a bell, but this is the one that shows 188,000’
I did not find the ISS, even assuming it is modeled, and I managed to land at an airport that wasn’t that far from where I started which was Sedona. But I was concentrating on how high I could go, not my track on the ground.
@TCPD5091 Not long at all. A few minutes. 3, maybe 5? I wasn’t timing it.
Well if it had been real, I would have died. A simple pressurized airplane won’t do it, you’d need a legit Space Suit. But, it’s a simulation, so I am sitting about 78’ above sea level and could breathe just fine lol… And yes… Florida does have places with 78’ MSL altitudes. But that’s about as high as it gets. And it’s a small, subtle raise that you don’t even notice when driving. But it is the highest altitude in my County, so if global warming ever gets us (which I think is bunk), we’ll be safe in our new island property.
@TurboExtreme454 Joe, it is wacky, but for that reason, I luvs it!! I would love to have the creator of this beast as a member of my Discord fam, the invitation is KevyKevTPA's MSFS Hangout
