Nice pic!

Is that a flyable Sailplane?

I’ve resorted to engine off ridge soaring in the lighter aircraft with strong winds set up to get my fix at the moment.

A strong westerly at Gibraltar with the Icon A5 is my go to engine off location

Just a little wishful thinking on my part, this is X Plane with My own ortho4XP tiles, quite impressive and gives nothing up the MSFS except X planes rather primitive autogen. Actually the mesh in Xplane is much better and more detailed. In MSFS I have been slope soaring with the Flight Design CTLS, slope soars quite well.

Great post.

Thanks, I’m glad someone likes my sense of humor.

MSFS 2020 is great with a lot of things, but X-Plane still can look fantastic, and it will be sometime before we get different types of aircraft.

Yes, I miss diverse aircraft, especially sailplanes, but they will come later this year, I’ve been struggling with MSFS, with it’s glitches, bugs, and sub par aircraft accessories, now just managed after two days trying to re download after repeated crashes, to succeed in getting it back. It will be years.

Ummm…

That’s interesting, But unfortunately I have not had FSX for years. do you fly it? how is the quality and performance? I converted a lot of aircraft from FSX to X Plane, but was not aware of this, does it only import FSX native aircraft?
I read the instructions, the conversion tool is a work in progress requiring a lot of tweaking, it holds promise, If I had FSX I would try it, but the there is a lot of tweaking required to the aircraft after importing to MSFS. not for someone who wants plug and play. It’s a beginning.

Sorry, no, I hadn’t even read it, I had just come across the website yesterday. I had assumed he created a package. There’s some videos out there of people flying it.

Thanks to FlyingsCool5650, this photo I took is for real, yes I know, cry wolf  .
Using the tool from Touching Cloud MSFS Mods Touching Cloud you can, if you also have FSX installed, run this free tool (pre packaged with the DG) to extract the DG 600S. It’s fairly straight forward, and worth the effort. So slowly but surely the Soaring genre is coming to MSFS. As I understand it there are others working behind the scenes at encouraging Asobo to get it right when it comes to soaring. Meanwhile you can enjoy some slope soaring with this, or if your versed in using this tool which is available for you to convert any FSX plane in your installation. you can get it here from: (the tool alone) MSFS Legacy Importer at Microsoft Flight Simulator Nexus - Mods and community
