Hey everyone just wanted to bring this up since i’m sure i’m not the only one that experienced the flickering when turning bloom on when frame gen is enable. anyways the fix is to just set motion blur to low. Motion blur at the lowest setting won’t affect frames and won’t affect image quality. This solution was discovered by someone else in the bug section, i take zero credit for this lol.
This has been an issue in VR for a long time now, I just wish they’d fix DX12 and bring it out of beta. I’ll try this on the off chance it affects something in VR
Fantastic! Started getting the flashing with bloom after latest city update 6. Seems to have worked for me.
Moved to User Support Hub Install, Performance & Graphics that is more appropriate.
I wish this was also true for VR.
I wonder how likely it is we will ever see DX12 fixed for MSFS2020 now when MSFS2024 is out with LOTS of issues for Asobo to address.
and you think DX12 is fixed in MSFS 2024 lol
I’ve only tried MSFS2024 briefly but IIRC, DX12 wasn’t in beta since DX12 is the only option if I’m correct. Also I can’t recall seeing the same flashing bug.
With that said, in the current state, I suppose you could say the complete MSFS2024 is in beta and that’s why I’m staying in MSFS2020 for now.
