I have a very good rig but my FPS would vary wildly from update to update. The most recent update caused my FPS to plummet to the single digits on a RTX 3090. After much research, I found out that I had “ASUS multicore enhancement” enabled in my BIOS. Switching this off reverts to the standard Intel specs. MSFS became very smooth again.

Heh, good find, assuming it is reproducable It is pretty funny that some companies (and people) think they know better than the manufactures/devs.
That kind of stuff is the first to go on my machines. I just don’t trust they know more than the chip makers. Unless, it is something to solve a very specific use case. EG: Server farms and the like. Certainly not for general purpose computing which is what we do.
