[FIXED 1.13.17.0] World Update 3 has broken flight dynamics, exhibit A

Do you have more information for B787 ? Impossible to find file. It’s a real problem. Impossible to fly correctly…

No one will be able to access the payware aircraft .cfg files, neither the Asobo developed ones or the 3rd party ones. That’s why they should release a hotfix, it’s either that or make us wait a few weeks.

DA40 also and Citation Longitude is coming. These mods are far preferable to the original Asobo planes anyhow. So we have a “hotfix” for at least some of the planes until Asobo do their job.

Has Asobo acknowledged that they are even aware of the problems created by this update. I admit I have not read all 600+ comments here, but it would be nice if Asobo/Microsoft would as least address our concerns!

MS did:

You mean like all the other bugs every update has and we have to wait to get fixed?! gasp You don’t say?!

To you know where is the file for B787 ?
Thanks in advance

I think those files can’t be edited.

That hasn’t been my experience, at least not with the 172 or da62. The Caravan was modded so I’ll retract my previous statement.

Quite the opposite. Most of the participants were real life pilots or had been flying Sims for decades. They were very critical about other aspects of the Sim but no one mentioned issues with takeoff or landing. Perhaps they had modded the planes they flew which might explain that no on mentioned landing issues. I flew the 172 and da62 and didn’t experience issues that I noticed

Well. Since our requests for a necessary hotfix were closed, shall we move it here? Or do we just wait for a likely delayed sim update 3 which I also feel will break a ton of mods :stuck_out_tongue:

Feel free to talk about it here!

This flipflopping between threads is pointless, and the discussion in the “release the hotfix now” thread is very much different than the original issue being pointed attention to here.

Dear @Jummivana
Any advice how to fix flaps in classic C172 which is protected against rogue users? I would appreciate dev team suggestions as I don’t have enough skill to deal with protected files.
I fly classic C172 it in real life, I have home cockpit build around it (unfortunattely with 2 side monitors not functional due to lack of multi-monitor support), so switching to another plane is not a viable option to me.

Apparently it’s not possible with any of the Deluxe or Premium aircraft. Someone reported that they cannot edit the Longitude.

This is actually a major problem IMO.

You either submit something to Zendesk and ‘forget about it’, or you can post here and your point is lost in the noise.

We need a proper middle ground between the 2.

Would a fully working simulator help?

So, they are saying a change in the flight model, affecting every aircraft, accidentally slipped in to the World Update and was allowed to be released to millions (?) of users, completely untested?

All this in an update that was delayed for a total of 3 weeks and spent a whole week being “polished”. But not completely unnoticed though because it was proudly shown in the release notes.

And when it is discovered, they decide to wait it out and not release a fix ASAP.

I’d really love to know how all this happened.

The transparency, FINALLY, should be applauded. They admitted the error, and didn’t sugar coat it. This eliminates any speculation on the forum on what happened.

I wonder how they will change the process to make sure things like this cannot happen again.

Splitting up World and Sim updates, sequentialising them, increase the sprint from 2 weeks to 1 (2?) months, and a one week polish. None of this seems to have helped reduce the risk of updates.

You need to define fully, and working.

I originally though that said “proper X-Wing landing” and was wondering where on earth (or otherwise) you got one of those.
