Fixed a potential crash and stutters using FSR Frame Generation on NVIDIA Cards (SU5 Beta)

Discussion about FSR3 Frame Generation on NVIDIA Cards, mentioned in Sim Update 5 Beta (1.7.6.0) Release Notes - February 13, 2026:

I think there were several issues with FSR3 Frame Generation (on NVIDIA cards), so I’d like to know specifically what is fixed, if anyone knows?

For multiple monitor setups, FSR3 Frame Generation was the only native option for FG and it was working well - but it was broken on multiple monitors in SU4. (DLSS Frame Gen only works on the 1 window).

The issue is best described in 2 threads, in a bug report here, and quoting @xavierflies here and described

I believe the trigger might be either GSync, or Variable Refresh Rate, or a combination - but for those with 3 screens, without FG and VRR very quickly limits options for graphics.

I have yet to try SU5 with FSR3 FG and VRR on 3 screens - but thought I would ask if anyone is seeing improvement? I’m really hoping so!

For me personally FSR3 runs worse than TAA. I too noticed that it could also be that it’s buggy because we’re on NVIDIA GPUs?

Since SU3 and SU4, I’ve had Frame Generation cause issues where the image becomes distorted and how should I describe it? multiplied? If you remember watching Pokemon, when the Pokemon uses Double Team? Then it seems like the Pokemon multiplied? That’s exactly how my simulator would look. The fix was to usually restart the simulator fully.

With the most recent 4.5 DLSS update from NVIDIA it hasn’t worked properly since the last 2 update revisions. There is an issue with G-Sync that causes the screens to flash white or black intermittently. I had to revert my drivers back before the 4.5 release. Still awaiting a fix.

I’ll test out the simulator tonight and also report my findings with SU5 beta.
