Fully agree…Signs of the current time…
Correct, looking at a friend is mines system. His core content shows update doesn’t say needs a restart to update.
So you’ve been able to fix it by getting all the missing content is a big plus. I’ll have to do some more digging and see what I can’t find… Its screwed up that a reinstall just doesn’t fix it. And what happens now when the next update is released. Are we back to this all over again?
Next problem is when these packages that we have acquired get updated… back to square one then!
Ok, if this is not the way it should be:
If there should not be a “relauch the game to update” I never ever had a fully installed game. And although at the moment everything is working the message might explain why I’m still missing the basic C152 and the TBM in my content manager.
And yes, with the next update we will be back with missing packages and we have to start over looking for what might be missing this time … and than find someone who has the updated missing content.
Guys, this must be a joke:
me Wednesday at 23:28
So 15 days in and you still can not tell me which essential packages are missing nor how I can get them, you can not tell me why the C152 and TBM are missing in the content manager and are missing in the aircraft selection and most important, after 15 days you still have no idea why I can not start a flight from the world menu ???
Is there any progress at all ???
me Yesterday at 22:33
Looks like there is no news at all, no progress.
FWIW I got it fixed on my end, no missing packages anymore and I’m able to start a flight from the world menu … let me know if you want to know what I did.

They think everything is ok now and you have no further issues…
So after almost 20daya since I filed a support ticket I got this today…
RESET THE MICROSOFT STORE CACHE
On your keyboard, press the “Win Logo” + “R” keys
Type: WSReset.exe and press “Enter”
A black window will pop up
Wait until the pop up disappears and the Store comes up
Than reboot the computer, sign back in to windows store and start the Sim…
Anyone get this one or try it yet?
Yes, does not help
Are they serious?!!!
What a joke. “We’re happy to help”
They’ve done ■■■■ all!
Got my missing asobo-aircraft-c152 file from a friend now. Put it into the official-folder. SIM starts without message and the plane is there too.
DO NOT and i repeat DO NOT MODIFY WINDOWS APPS PERMISSIONS
Thks a lot for your advice. Don’t worry I won’t touch anything as I know the risk.
Will wait for possible ASOBO’s solution
just saying because i still have the repercussion of touching the permissions of this folder XD
Well hope you’ll sort it out. Thks again
well i just recieved a reply from zendesk… and it’s just a copy paste of “please try updating windows, please sign out and back”.
i am disappointed
Got a message from zendesk 2 days ago, you can guys read what they sent me and try it for yourself https://flightsimulator.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/requests/119170
Oops Error 404. Could you post a screenshot of that message?
A friend of mine sent me his packages, and i can confirm it fully works.
I see no reason why it should not work.
Everyone just need to figure out which essential package is missing and then find a way to get that package.
I can find this out even if I’m not Asobo, I’m sure they could find out as well and also could find a way to give us access to that missing packages … but it looks like they can’t or are busy with more important stuff.
Got a response from Jayne, the issue is apparantly being investgated…
