Flagged Posts Are Blocked Now?

Just to bring this in…

Anyone who is at Trust Level 2 or higher can flag a post. However, only moderators can hide that post. When a post is flagged, it sends a notification to moderators. Moderators then look at the post and the scope of the conversation around that post. These flags are then either rejected or accepted if the post(s) violate any section of the Code of Conduct or category guidelines. A post doesn’t have to be “inappropriate” to be accepted but rather the breaking of any section of the Code of Conduct, it’s SOP or category guidelines.

Also to note, some posts are auto-flagged by the system as soon as the post is made and may not come from the “Community”. These flags are also sent up to moderators for review.

If a post is hidden, you can be sure it was done so by a moderator. If your post was hidden and you do not know why, please send a direct message to @moderators In most cases, we do try to send a private message but there are times we don’t if the post in question is an obvious breach of the Code of Conduct.

With that said, there are very rare cases where a post will auto-hide without moderators handing the flag. See this flagging guide: https://forums.flightsimulator.com/t/how-and-when-to-flag-a-post/487142 However, all flags are still sent to moderators for final handling.

Moderators are also human and make mistakes. If you have any questions, please let moderators know.
