Flaps sometimes have a mind of their own?

Okay this does not occur all the time, but it’s annoying. Firstly, at takeoff they are fully down, and I am unable to raise them. I try the keyboard F6, the joystick button 10 and inside cockpit flap selector. The buttons do nothing, and the cockpit flap selector just keeps returning to down? This happens to supplied aircraft and payware aircraft.

I have a Logitech Extreme 3d Pro, Madcatz Rat7 mouse, and a corsair keyboard. I also have Trackir5, and Saitek Rudder Pedals. I’m not sure if system stats help but here they are:

I7 12700kf @ 5.2ghz
Asus Strix RTX 3080
Corsair Dominator DDR4 32gb @ 3200

Now I have never played with key bindings, because at the start the sim automatically picked up my hardware. I have no idea why it happens and sometimes it does not???

That will be a multiple mapping/binding issue most likely.
Go through all of the mappings & axis assignments for every controller, keyboard & mouse.
Rudder pedals & the joystick, would be my primary suspect, maybe start there.

Thanks for helping. There are no pilot aids on, I have MS set to medium. I have unbound flaps on joystick and will see how it behaves.

You should go through each controller in the Options Menu and search for flaps and see what’s assigned. It may not just be the joystick.
