Ever since SU8, I have experienced a flashing inside the 172 cabin. See the short video.
It’s like someone is using a mirror reflecting the sun into the instrument panel so if
I pan up, the flashing appears on the ceiling of the cabin. Store Version, not developer mode
Tried two different nVidia drivers. No help.
Cleared the community folder but flashing still there.
Effect is in the 172 default and also in the C208 default and Ex.
The effect shifts position if I move the view to the copilots seat.
The effect becomes more distracting when the sun goes down.
From the exterior through a window, the flashing doesn’t appear to be visible.
I’ve spent several hours on this so far including searches on the forums. Am I the only one with this problem?
From the keyboard Alt + L is the default for toggling the flashlight. If you are using an external switch like the honeycomb bravo, I just deleted the switch bindings in the bravo for the flashlight and interior cabin lights. That fixed the “flashing” problem. Apparently I had one button assigned to turn the flashlight on and another button set to turn the flashlight off. So the two assignments were at logger heads with each other, ineffect the flashlight was being turned on and then off rapidly creating the flashing effect. (I think!)
I think this binding came from Honeycomb’s complex twin bravo bindings. I didn’t set the binding or change it until today. Never was a problem until SU8 showed up. I think I recall that Asobo fixed something to do with cabin lighting?
