Hey everyone! I’m playing msfs-2024 in career-mode and I’ve got a bit of a headache with managing my fleet. I’ve got 50 single engine FSTL planes, and each one brings in around 10k per hour. I fly 12 hours a day, and with the cost of each plane at 400k, the fleet’s generating about 25% interest. The passive income is nice, but managing this big fleet is driving me nuts!
Like, when it’s time for maintenance, I have to do it one by one from left to right on the company page. And once I finish one, the list snaps back to the left, so I’ve gotta manually hunt down the plane I just fixed to do the next one.
And after buying new planes, turning on the crew is a hassle. The sorting’s all over the place, and the new planes just pop up randomly in the list. I have to go through them one by one to find the ones with the crew off and then start from the left again.
I’ve been wondering a few things:
- Can the UI be fixed to let us multi-select planes and do things like maintenance or selling in batches? It would save so much time!
- Also, is there any chance the pay rate and maintenance cost could be tweaked? Right now, it seems like the expensive planes don’t make much more, if any, than the cheapest GA planes. So, it just makes sense to keep adding those 400k GA planes to grow the business.
- What’s the deal with the plane list sorting? If I knew, I could at least try to add new planes to the left so they’re easier to find.
- For now, what’s the best way to handle a fleet? Am I missing something obvious? I know PC players might be able to write a python script with a chatbot to automate things, but us Xbox gamers don’t have that option.
Any advice or insights from the devs or other players would be really appreciated!
