I’m using 1440p 144hz dual display setup powered by GTX 1080 TI. Both displays are the same model, by size and everything, so no difference there. I’m using DP cable on both.
The problem is that when I play FS2020 (in fullscreen) and when I try to move mouse to another display, I will get flickering on the sim display (no matter that FS is still in focus – didn’t click anywhere, just moved mouse across the border – display to display).
Tried almost everything, turn G-Sync on or off, even replaced DP cables, various configs in Nvidia config, etc., and this happens only in the sim.
Also to mention, everything is up to date, Win10, GPU drivers, etc.
I’ve seen flickering before, but it just went away on its own.
I’m seeing it now after DDU and installing the new clean 537.34 driver.
I’m hoping it will go away on its own again.
I also saw the problem of the sim getting ‘stuck’ on a black screen the first time I launched it after the driver update. I unplugged my DP cable and the loading screen came back.
It didn’t do it the second time.
Nope. I’ve been flying for a few hours, restarted computer a few times, and it hasn’t improved.
I went back to driver version 536.67, which seemed to be very stable for me. The one after that (536.96) was OK, but not as good as 536.67 (in my subjective opinion.)
Seems like that turning G-Sync helped me. Will test it bit more.
Earlier I tried to disable G-Sync, but it was only via Nvidia control panel and it was still there. Also I tried to disable Adaptive-Sync while G-Sync from Nvidia Control panel still was enabled, and flickering was still there.
Now I disabled on both sides and might be that it works.
I’m again here with the same issue. I have recorded short video to show you how this works.
So you can see if the game is in focus and if I move between monitors, you can see screen flickering, but if I lose focus and click on chrome, then moving mouse between won’t cause issues.
The same thing is with other games as well.
And according to Microsoft support page issue is with driver (I’m using latest) as they said if Task manager is flickering while in game, that means driver issue.
So is there any help here? Some tweak, option, anything?
I’m getting it too in fullscreen even with just one monitor, but not all the time. If I use windowed mode or press the Windows key to make MSFS lose focus, it goes away. Still not sure if it’s driver related or not.
I tried to disable HDR on secondary display and it’s better but still some things weird. And if turn off on main display which runs the sim then it’s super fine, except screen looks lil bit awkward.
