Flickering Rectangular Patches in Cockpit at Night with Illumination and DLSS On in Flatscreen and VR

ISSUE DESCRIPTION

Getting flickering pixelated rectangular patches in various scenes. It is worse at night under cockpit illumination though I had it happen occasionally even in the airplane configure page. It only happens with DLSS or FSR on. It immediately goes away when I switch to TAA. Happens in flat screen and VR. I removed everything from my Community folder and issue persists. Also tried 4 different Nvidia drivers from the earliest I could find compatible with my GPU(RTX 5090) to the most recent 591.59. Used DDU to uninstall and deleted all Nvidia caches. Don’t have issue in other games such as DCS. See below for Video.

FREQUENCY OF ISSUE

With DLSS on It occurs frequently at night within the cockpit especially when turning on the dome light. However it only happens in some locations and will come and go as you move around the cockpit and zoom in and out. I’m not sure when it started because I did not do many night flights until recently.

REPRODUCTION STEPS

  1. Make sure DLSS is on (I use DLSS 4 with K preset.)

  2. Load in the cockpit at night. Turn On internal light such as the dome light

  3. Move around the cockpit looking for areas with the flickering pixilated squares as seen in the clips I included. The anomalies tend to come and go as you move around or zoom in and out. I see them on flat screen (window mode) and in VR (Pimax Crystal Super). Turn on TAA to make anomalies go away.
