I have been experimenting with Nvidia’s graphic drivers and all drivers from 460.89 to the latest cause a flickering of my screen which is most annoying. Using 457.51 the last before the 460’s there’s no flickering. So the question is…Nvidia or Asobo/Microsoft for this gremlin ??? By the way the FPS have gone down since the last or call it the most recent update…Heyho.

Does your screen flicker with any other video or game related apps?
Turn off g-sync if you’re using a g-sync monitor.
I only do Flight Simulator (P3Dv5 and MSFS2020)…no other games or simulations
What kind of flicker is it, tearing or actual flickering like a candle would flicker?
like a candle flickering, there is no tearing. I would be pretty P%&^"£$d if there was tearing as i am using a RTX3090 and I expect at the price for it to perform…which it does.
Why turn off G-Sync to cure a glitch which should not be there, as I have now proved by changing graphic driver versions.

Try changing your HDMI/Display Port lead in the back of the GPU into another port, also check with the new drivers that they haven’t messed around with your Hertz settings, the Nvidia panel can revert that down to 30 Herts when upgrading the driver and display ports can get funky over that. Another thing to try is HDMI instead of the Display Port or vice versa, just remember that HDMI doesn’t natively support 4k @60fps though it does do it, it’s just not supported well so that can make things funky too. It probably is a driver issue on your particular card and system in general, but flickering is usually an indication of an hardware failure, so it’s best to investigate.
Because it’s a wel known problem with g-sync since 2019 i believe. But i see you allready switched drivers. Unfortunately nvidia still hasn’t fixed this problem wich occurs not only on msfs but alot of games. So if you’re only playing flight sims and those drivers work for you it’s all good.

Everything is now excellent and no flickering with the 457… driver, G-Sync on as it should be (85Hz refresh). FPS is anything from 55 to75 and everything maxxed out.
