:white_check_mark: ISSUE DESCRIPTION

  1. Description of the issue:
    In Free Flight, every time I open “Flight Conditions” when setting up a new flight, the settings have changed since the previous flight. I was always set Live Weather, Live Air Traffic and “All Players”, yet the next time I open the screen when setting up the next flight, “Weather and time” is usually back to “Preset”. I’ve seen “Air traffic” and/or “Multiplayer” change as well, though those seem to change sporadically.

  2. Did you remove all your community mods/add-ons? If yes, are you still experiencing the issue?

  3. Provide specific location or coordinates ([PC Only] DevMode > Options > Display position):

Pretty much every time I open the window when setting up a new flight.

  1. Click Free Flight
  2. Click Flight Conditions
  3. Set Live Weather, Live Air Traffic, and All players
  4. Go on a flight.
  5. May need to return to main menu between flights, I don’t recall
  6. Return to Flight Conditions to see if settings changed

• Yes same issue, I set my settings to live, but then they change again even though I didn’t change them myself when returning back to flight menu.

• This issue also creates an issue where someone might think they are on ‘All Players’ (as is the case for many group flight planners), but because of this bug they are in fact not. When said player opens up the weather window from the toolbar it switches to the Custom Tab. This effectively causes this player to have all the other planes who are correctly on ‘All Players’ to disappear.

• exactly the same as OP - Live weather switches itself off and reverts to clear skies and custom. I have to physically go in and reinstate Live

Same here, every flight resets to “custom” and I have to go in and re-select live weather and time.

ISSUE DESCRIPTION

Description of the issue:
Each time the sim is restarted/flight is started, LIVE weather is turned off and ‘custom’ is selected.

I turn it on again in home screen settings (free flight), then when starting flight it has turned off again. Then nothing happens when turning it back on in flight.

every time I go to free flight the flight conditions settings are not saved, they are always at the default values ​​and I have to turn on live weather for example

Yeah, in fact there is not one single config in the entire ‘free flight’ menu that is being saved for the next sessions.

I have to change weather, time, aircraft variant, livery and live players on/off EVERY TIME I start the sim through the buggy and slow menu transitions… Another ridiculous regression from '20, another one-minute fix that will take forever to be addressed.

And what is this historic weather when you change day time?? Nobody asked for that in the way it’s implemented, for god sake…

ISSUE DESCRIPTION

Description of the issue: You can set the live weather, but once you exit the game it returns back to the default setting.

  2. turn on live weather
  3. exit game, come back into game weather set to default settings

• No extra info needed - just like the OP says, live weather resets to “custom” every time the game is started. Even between flights, I have to manually toggle the “live” switch to get live weather back from flight to flight.

Absolutely have the same issue.

I see it’s “bug logged” but would like to suggest the suggested fix:

The natural expectation would be EVERYTHING is ALWAYS sticky on those pages after you set them. Sticky after you leave the Flight Conditions page, sticky after you start / quit a flight, sticky after you quit / restart the sim. Essentially these things are just settings that happen to not be in the Settings menu, but should be treated similarly without needing a ‘save now’ button.

  • Weather settings - whether Live or a Preset, if a preset which one, if custom then with what settings.
  • Air traffic settings Live vs AI vs Off
  • Multiplayer settings Live vs All Players vs Off
  • Intended local date / local time for when you spawn into the sim
  • departure airport/runway
  • arrival airport/runway (if set)
