Hi fellas.
I have been experiencing an annoying situation these past few days (before, no problem).
Approximately 80% of the time, when I launch a flight, the blue loading bar will gradually go all the way to the right, and the flight will never launch, and the only way for me is to kill the sim via the Task Manager. See below example.
What can I do ?
This is what I have observed so far:
my internet connection is a 1000Mbps fiber connection, and Speedtest shows it does deliver that. So my internet connection isnât an issue.
this issue occurs regardless of the plane I want to fly, location, weather or time of the day.
I know that somehow it has to do with Online functionalities because when I turn off Online Functionality in the Data settings, this issue doesnât occur and the flight loads normally (but of course, this isnât an option since I want to fly with photogrametry and photorealistic sceneries).
I tried loading the flight with Online Functionality turned off, and then turning them back on once the flight has loaded, but this doesnât work: Applying the new settings results in the sim to go into the same never ending loading state.
changing to other servers doesnât fix the problem.
emptying my Community folder doesnât fix the problem.
Thank you for this report. Weâve moved your topic into the User Support Hub.
The Bug Reporting Hub is for posting suspected or confirmed bugs that other users are able to reproduce without duplicating an existing bug report. Using the template or providing all the relevant information about your bug and sim setup is required in order to provide valuable information, feedback, and replication steps to our test team.
If you are not sure if your issue is a bug or need further input from the community, please use the User Support Hub category. If the community can replicate your issue, first search the Bug category to see if thereâs an existing topic. If it already exists, contribute to that report. Duplicate bug reports will be closed.
If you believe it is a new report and no duplicate exists, then create a new bug topic using the provided topic template.
All issues caused by or involving third-party addons/mods should be reported to the third-party developer. Assure that no addons/mods are used when reporting issues in Bug Reports.
I have been experiencing the same thing since over a month now. I really never tried the VPN but I did a lot of troubleshooting. As you mentioned, empyting the community folder wonât work. I doubted on some addons but then they were not the actual fault. Iâll try to list down some solutions that worked for me âtemporarilyâ.
Sign out from Microsoft account and Xbox and sign in again
On Xbox app go to support and reset the services
Load a âmid to heavy aircraft(not A319)â like minimum A320 size and then change to the aircraft you really want by developer mode. I have noticed that GA aircraft and small aircraft wonât load at regions like US and Europe. But this trick worked for me at least.
Troubleshoots I tried that didnât work:
Rebooted the PC
Reinstalled and downloaded all the 100+ GB
Emptied the community folder
Updated Nvidia Driver
Disabled Windows Firewall
Changed some internal graphic settings like lowering TLOD and OLOD
I am still looking for actual solution but not been able to find it.
As all this started after I downloaded all the World Updates and started doing Bush Trips.
I have deleted my earlier response as it wasnât correct.
Thank you for the suggestion.
I have done a little bit of testing and I âthinkâ it works. As in I launched the sim I believe itâs 4 times, with my Getflix VPN, and it launched all 4 times. I will continue using my VPN and report in a few days with my final conclusions.
Out of curiosity, do you understand âwhyâ a VPN would help ?
@ElHispano1705 , thanks for the detailed response. Would you like to give the VPN a try and let me know what you think ? As it seems weâre hit with the same problem.
On my side the VPN helps from time to time as there are some experiments in my region to regulate Internet. Why does it work for others I have no idea. May be your provider limits game traffic, or there is something with Microsoft servers.
Ok guys so quick update: Iâve now been launching the sim 20 times or so, and the VPN solution hasnât failed me once. So I presume this is my solution. One thing I noticed is that my ping - obviously - increased substantially, from 40ms to 250ms. But this doesnât seem to have any incidence on what Iâm doing with the sim, although the loading times are longer.
Yes using VPN works well, but if it disconnects during the flight, you are switched to offline data and if you try to switch it on again, it gets stuck. For starters VPN is working.
Have been experiencing the same issue. I have contacted Microsoft support also and they donât seem to help in this. This is DEFINITELY a problem with Microsoft servers.
