Flight profile in MSFS2020

I had to reformat my computer and reinstall everything. Does this mean you also lose you all your hours flight? Is there anyway to get this back?

You shouldn’t lose your hours. Much of your profile lives in the cloud, so as long as you reinstall using the same account, you should get your logbook back.

It shows my friends list but my hours is at zero?

I just had to format and reload also. I did not lose anything from my log book.

It shows my friends list but zero in the hours of flight. And this is the Steam Edition. I had like 500+ hours.

Does make sence I can see all my friends in the friends list but no flight hours?

There are a number of threads/posts where people have reported lost hours under a myriad of circumstances, so I wouldn’t say it’s unheard of.

I guess I’m asking how do I get it back, I have the right account as my friends list is there.

Whata happens if I Uninstall and reinstall MSFS2020?

You´ll have a mess. That´s until MSFT reveals the structure of the game. It won´t happen if you reinstall in the same drive you used in the original installation,

So I’m SOL on all my hours? Even though it shows in steam?

I think Steam is tracking the hours you had the sim running including time in the menus, World Map, Marketplace, etc. as opposed to your Flight Log that tracks you actual time flying.

Two pretty different things being tracked.

So even though Steam shows my 500 award for my hours and MSFS2020 shows me starting out zero. I guess just continue flying?

Moved to #self-service:online-services-activities as Logbook/Hours is part of Online XBox Gaming Profile (PC or XBox console).
