Just checking in case I’m doing something dumb. When I go into the Flight Training activities, activating any of the modules is totally non-functional. I’m assuming that’s not just me? Thanks.

Hello @SofaJockey,
If you click one of those lessons it will take you to the next screen where you can begin the lesson. Here’s what you should see if you click “Sim Controls”:
Please give that a try and let me know if that works for you.
Thanks,
MSFS Team
I have this issue too. Clicking those does nothing. It doesnt take you to the next screen. Xbox Series X, UK
Thanks @SeedyL3205, it’s good to see what should happen. As @MrMiniMite7363 has noticed too, on Series X (UK) it is totally non-functional, the activate prompt does nothing. A shame, but good to have it confirmed that Flight Training is totally broken (for now).
Hi folks,
I just tested this on my Xbox Series X and everything appears to be working normally for me. Here’s a video I recorded of my tv showing the training screens loading as expected. I was also able to load into the flight and start the training session proper, but I stopped recording the video before then.
To confirm, is everyone experiencing this issue located in the UK? We’ve been seeing several reports of tech issues from UK-based players, so it might be a common root cause for our team to investigate.
Thanks,
MSFS Team
Let me be very precise. The problem occurs at 0.07 in your video.
The module is selected, but pressing [A] [Select] on the Controller does nothing (or on any selected module). The same button I used to navigate this far - I know how to press a button! My broadband is 150-170 Mbps. Thanks.
@SeedyL3205 So I tried it again. And this time clicking [A] [Select] DID bring me to the next screen.
I started getting broadband warnings in the sim.
Though I think my broadband is sufficient:
And then things got very dicey…
I couldn’t progress, the location turned into Minecraft and I got an ‘Xbox overheating warning!’ Never seen that before. Then MSFS crashed (thankfully).
Same here in germany. As soon as I use a vpn connection to the usa, it will work. I assume the usual bad peering for ms, aws and the like in europe (As a german, I’m looking at you Deutsche Telekom),.
