When I land and try to steer the rudder goes wacky and I can’t steer aircraft straight. How can I set my rudder to sync with my aileron axis so this doesn’t happen. I do not have foot pedals.
I think there’s an ‘auto rudder’ setting in the assistance menus
Tried the auto rudder and did not help. I can steer fine before I take off and taxi to runway. It only happens when I land. If I turn to the right the rudder will skew to the left trying to go left.
I believe I have found a solution; I went to the Windows USB Game Controllers app and increased the dead zone of the x Axis and that seems to have helped.
I have the same problem. However, when the airplane is standing still, the rudder is centered, fine so far. But there are two problems. 1: When I turn the rudder, it turns back to center again, even thou I still hold the stick fully rotated to one side. 2: When the airplane starts to tax, even at the lowest speed, the rudder turns fully to the right. I have turned of everything in the settings, but nothing helps. The joystick, a Logitech Extreme 3D Pro, is perfectly adjusted and has a 5% dead zone. I have tried all solutions I could find, but no. Nothing helps.
To add some details and a correction. Under point 2 I wrote that the rudder turns fully right. Sorry, I meant that it turns fully left. I am experiencing this using a jet airliner, so it is not a problem with the propeller effect. Also, the application internal joystick calibration and the Windows\System32\joy.cpl both clearly shows that the joystick z-axis works fine. When I turn right, the calibration programs shows that it is changed to the right, and it stays there! And when I turn it to the left, the calibration also turns to the left and stays there. So, it is obviously something in Microsoft Flight Simulator that fiddles with the rudder. I use the external camera so I can observer the rudder while twisting the joystick, and I can clearly see that something else is turning the rudder back again. And when I start taxing, the rudder turns left even though I do not even touch the joystick. As I mentioned, I have turned off all automatic functions in MFS, but still have this problem. I have also restored all settings to default, and there is still the same problem. I use no add-ons, so the single possible source to the problem is the application itself.
