Ok I will look again after my current flight P3D I do see the airports like LAX, JFK so I am not sure why they are not there unless MSFS thinks I am on a lower package even though the Prem Packages are installed. I do see KSFO and I think that was one of them in the prem package.
I know what you are talking about, just don’t know why they are not there. When I purchase KDEN a while back now, I saw and unistalled Asobo KDEN as required by FlightBeam. But I reinstall MSFS after SU 5 so maybe that is when something went wrong
What I did was edit Content.xml and you can see in that file the name of the airport followed by active status. They are all set to True, I changed KDEN and KORD to false to they would not load. (I am assuming MSFS does what the past sims did by loading only active scenery)
KLAX and KJFK are part of the Standard version. KORD is part of the Deluxe version and KDEN/KSFO are in the Premium version. With SU5, these airports appear in the Content Manager as part of each package bundle. So if you install the Deluxe or Premium package in the content manager, it will install all airports that came with that package. To view the airports from that package individually, just filter by the full list view and not the package view. Then you can uninstall them individually. If you reinstall the Deluxe or Premium package in full, it will reinstall all the airports again. So don’t do that. I have KDEN and KORD uninstalled now so it can be done.
On a side note, the content.xml file will show packages as active that have been uninstalled. It appears that an active entry is created for new installations but the entry isn’t removed or changed to inactive when uninstalled.
No it wont be obvious, what you will see is Premium Deluxe as “partially installed” it will be missing about 137MB which is the ASOBO Premium KDEN, that’s fine.
But I can tell you this. I had both installed pre SU5 and no problems. Basically you need the latest version I think.
Thanks guys, I see what I was doing wrong. two icons on the top, one for just packages and one that list everything. I have them uninstalled now. I know this is what you typed but I just found the icons that filter packages only or list all. So I let the SIM make a new content.xml and KDEN works fine. KORD (Asobo) does not want to load but the version of FSDream KORD is 1.20. That is one I did get at the market place so I suspect that just needs to be updated. That’s ok I can wait. I will try to unistall and reinstall FSDream KORD just to see if that helps
Thanks for your answer. I dont have KMCO or another scenary installed near to KDEN… I really dont know what to do, Flightbeam KDEN its my favorite airport but since the last MSFS update I cant use it becasue ALWAYS I have CTD
Another payware airports work fine, for example Flightbeam KIAD… no problem at all
What version is your KDEN? In the store it was version 1.5? Have they updated it yet. I just bought the scenery again on the “Contrail Store” that one is version 1.7, and more CTD.
I bought the airport in the MSFS marketplace long time ago. Yesterday finally was able the last version to update and download so actually I have installed the 1.0.7 that as far I know, its the latest version. But it doesnt work fine, I still have CTD´s all the time
@eduio13 Browse to the flightbeam-kden folder, it should be in your official directory and not your community directory. Open the manifest.JSON file with notepad and confirm that the version listed there is correct. It will look like this: “package_version”: “1.0.7”
Now, if it is correct I would suggest to do the following. Run the sim then go into content manager and delete the airport flightbeam-kden. Importantly, be sure that you uninstall ASOBO KDEN if you have it, you should not have both installed together!!! You have to sort the content not by upgrades but by all content and it looks like from your screenshot it’s filtered correctly and you don’t have ASOBO KDEN installed. Next, if you have rolling cache enabled go to the data section in the settings menu and click delete rolling cache, click apply then go back to the main menu and Exit the Sim, close it out!
Next, browse to your official directory and confirm that flightbeam-kden is no longer present. AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache\Packages\Official\OneStore
If it is no longer present then now delete the content.xml located here: AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache
Clear the recycle bin if you must.
Reboot your PC.
Launch the sim, go into content manager and install flightbeam-kden. Re-enable the rolling cache again if you wish. Let it build and then Exit the Sim, close it out!
Reboot PC.
Launch the Sim and try to load a flight with the default Cessna 152 or DV20 at the auto selected runway when choosing the airport. Don’t use any other aircraft other than the 152 or DV20 at this time. Doing this to rule out other reasons you might be crashing.
If you’re still crashing here I am not sure how to further help.
