Here would be my first “tutorial” flight (German Language).
I think I might pick it up with my next paycheck. Many people are flying it on VATSIM.
X is in many ways Longitude’s predecessor, it looks intimidating with all the gauges screens switches etc. but it’s just a less automated version with a Honeywell that has some quirks - and obscenely overpowered engines
If you love the G5000 then it’s gonna be a bit tougher because that UX is lovely there and the automatic toggles deal with almost everything for you, while here you do need to make sure you deal with all the details like lights, anti-ice, aircon and pressurization, and so forth. It does need a little more learning than the very plug-and-play VisJet or Longitude, even if the actual flight prep time isn’t much longer
But, if you get through some of this plane’s idiosyncrasies, you’ll get an absolute rocket of a ship in return
I’ve flown the Learjet from Flysimware too much. The cockpit of the Citation X is so much higher, I am always late on the flare. Had to pay for three back surgeries for some of my passengers in just two days of flying.
Love the aircraft. One and maybe the only real flaw I’ve found on XSX is that the autopilot buttons are flickering/blurry. Attached is a pic where you can see they are blurry but live they are kind of flickering. Any one else experiencing this? Messing with my immersion
I’ve had to get used to this as well, and my depth perception isn’t the greatest.

I’m not see this on 2020 SU15 on Xbox SX.
Are you on 2024 or the beta? I’ve heard there are some flickering cockpit textures for some Xbox users on the current SU16 beta.
Side note/off topic: I’ve been experiencing a similar issue like this on the PMDG 737s for some time. (There was a beta of SU15 last year that fixed it, but it revert back with the public build.)
My quick review of the Citation-X
We are lucky to have FlightFX around, they are really helping set the bar for add-ons in MSFS, I think both FlightFX and FSReborn are helping show the quality you can get for a well priced product, the quality/price equation is just maxed out for these devs.
Modeling and textues are really beautiful, we got CRT and LCD screens which is fantastic.
Plane flies great, the flight model is very good and this aircraft hand-flies really really nicely, sometimes I have to check if AP is on or off.
The FMS is quite complete, is not Study-level if you compare it to the real aircraft but it even has holds so we are def not missing anything. Simbrief integration is there and we can sync weights from the EFB.
I know FlightFX loves the EFB but for me it is set-up weights and quickly get rid of it, it is just too big for the cockpit size and too obstrusive, funcionality isn’t really great either, Navigraph is very basic in the FFX tablet. In my tests the EFB tends to forget the settings and I hate the need to change them for every flight.
Sounds in the Citation-X are very good but it is one of the weakest soundsets from master Boris, the Lateral Keys in the FMC for example have no sound, and they make a satisfactory click in the real thing.
The windows can’t be opened and there’re some inops in the plane like the old-school comm panel. Do I want to touch a nerve? This works in XPlane default Citation-X.
I know people love the screws to change alt, crs and hdg but I would like an option in the EFB to get rid of them, or at least the labels.
If you take the price in consideration this aircraft is ridiculous and really sets a very high bar for the price range. I love it!
Finally: FlightFX is not very well known for updating their products, the Vision, Joby and Archer didn’t get any updates and the Piaggio got a few first and then stalled. I know development takes precedence over improvements but these are just too nice aircraft and products to leave them without any improvements.
Your final note is the one reason that im holding back getting the Citation X

I wouldn’t take that very seriously, they have said they are going to update the Piaggio and, hopefully they will also update the Citation-X as it has been a great success. Fingers crossed!
IIRC, they did update the HJet fairly frequently when it came out.
I was about to post here about how to get the DME to a VOR when in FMS/Magenta mode, but found in their Discord that it’s a bug, to be fixed in the first update to the X. So that’s promising.
I wouldn’t let that stop you. I haven’t found anything really that needs a serious update. I don’t use Navigraph charts so not having them in the EFB doesn’t bother me but I know a lot of people would like that integration. a very solid plane out of the gate. IMO if it never got an update it would still remain my go-to business jet in 24

Bought and wanted a quick blast before bed but she is almost totally unresponsive, even with a runway start and/or take off panel state selected. Not got time to go into tutorials tonight but this can’t be right? Few visual glitches with GSE and MLG too.
Non responsive, meaning doesn’t move with throttles? No power, or no movement on runway?
Chocks and covers removed? I would assume runway start state would remove these, but worth checking.
Restarted the sim a second time and all good now, cheers. A joy to fly but the lack of wing-flex is a bit distracting in exterior view. Hope they add it but very happy overall. Nice bird.
