In the integrated checklist, item 10 in the Before Taxi checklist instructs you to press the TOGA Button. I’m assuming that’s on the throttle handle somewhere but I’ve pressed everything on and around the throttle and I can’t seem to find the Button, nor do I know how to determine if it has been pressed. There is (I think) a button on the Pilot side of the throttle handle but pressing that doesn’t seem to have any effect.
I just skip over this step and proceed, but I’d like to know if I’m missing something. Thanks!
Hover near the throttle grip right about where your forefinger, a TOGA will pop-up to tell you you’re on the click hotspot.
If properly clicked, ROL will appear in the Scoreboard Annunciator, and the Magenta Flight Director cues will elevate up the pitch ladder to show the correct nose attitude for take-off.
Thanks, I’ll try hovering over that spot and see if I get the pop-up. Been watching for the magenta command bar, but never see it ('cause I’m missing the TOGA, LOL). Just wing the climb attitude and get outta Dodge.
Once again, thanks for the quick reply!
By the way, here’s a decent YouTube VisionJet video:
Please see the screenshots below - you can see there’s a button on the throttle that would be right underneath your thumb if you put your hand on it. That’s the TOGA button.
The PFD shows the Magenta FD arrows and the ROL indication. Disregard the angle of the arrows, they should be level. It’s only that way because I don’t have a flight plan loaded. Hope this helps!
There’s the problem! Your original post said forefinger! Not thumb! LOL! My hand must be different, I’ve been all over that darn throttle handle, thumb, forefinger, little finger, middle finger??( ). So far haven’t found the sweet spot. I’m rear persistent tho, I’ll keep trying. I actually know what the TOGA screen should look like when activated, but with about 35 hours on the Hobbs meter, I still don’t know what I don’t know… Thanks so much for trying to help, the pictures are great!
Well, I’ve been asking the Dev Team myself as well as the owner/operators to confirm the cockpit setup is accurate. Here’s what I see based on the clickspots.
Had to take pictures using my phone (quaint!) because the screenshot utility I have doesn’t capture where the mouse pointer is.
I’ll try that! Better pictures, surprised the developers haven’t chimed in. Gotta rest for a few, just flew into Jacksonville and man are my arms tired. Sorry, old joke…
Finally found it, lit up the FD Command bar on the PFD when I hit just the right spot! It is that thumb button on the side of the throttle, for sure. Thanks again for the help!
