This happens with the TBM930, possibly other aircraft.
Quite often, after importing a Little Navmap flight plan, when I activate AP and NAV, the plane will turn back to the departing airport before following the flightplan leg.

Some IFR plans will auto-generate a route where the first waypoint is the VOR station co-located to the Origin Airport.
Also, latest LNM Beta now exports in FS’20 and FS’24 formats (yes, they are distinct) - just double-check that’s not your case and you’re exporting FS’20.
Thanks for the reply. I have the latest LNM and I do export as an FS2020 plan. It seems like if I activate NAV once enroute, if I am not already on the flightpath of the plan, the plane wants to return to the deparure wayppoint instead of contiuing to the 1st waypoint after departure. I can do a Direct to the 1st waypoint and it will do that with no issue but, of coursde, that cancels out the rest of the plan… I will continue to experiment.
