So no user data is kept on the PC? That’s wild. On Xbox there are 2 files we can see - reserved data that keeps your control bindings, saved camera views, rolling cache and installed content; and then a saved data file that keeps your profile, settings, career progress and logbook
Not sure if it’s the same for you guys but for us, it feels like the sim doesn’t fully load everything until after you have started and then ended a flight. The logbook only starts working on a second flight and multiplayer aircraft aren’t visible on the free flight map until after you have ended a flight. So many weird bugs on this sim
(PC simmer since 1995 and converted to Xbox for 2020 as didn’t have time or money to get and maintain a new PC)
I tried that many times in the past after others suggested this solution - made zero difference as flights vanished, even immediately after landing they were not in the log book. I gave up ages ago and use Volanta
Yes I should have realized that. I do wonder why our stats / information must go to a cloud. Why spend computer time and internet bandwidth moving our information. Sitting on the server or ones own computer has less chance of corruption. It’s great when your hooked up to fiber optic in the cities, less problems. But when your in the rural areas that signal for me has to go to Satellite dish then 560 miles to satellite then 560 miles back from satellite to a terminal that might have fiber optic then to the server there is a lot more chances for the signal to get lost or corrupted especially during an electrical storm. I lost all my logbook and all controller settings, 3500 flights gone. It was a slap in the face when I had to reset the cloud to get the logbook working again. My controller settings were messed up too until the cloud reset and they also worked faster and better after that.
Flights logged. Checked log book, they were there. Closed sim, opened sim, Flights that were JUST there are no longer there. My logged hours amount is 25 hours different than my total hours in the overview.
Exactly the same for me 3/4 years ago I had to reset the cloud to fix it, resetting the cloud will delete all records in flight log and remove your controller profiles. I lost 3500 flights about 1200 hours time it has been working for 2500 hours since the reset and still working good so far.
I have the same issue with the logbook and dropped flights.
But I can also say that directly after a flight the log is there - I know it because I have a flightplan in Excel that I after each flight update with the start time - endtime and duration of the flight.
Not every flight is dropped - just what I can see random flights.
In my case above I take a flight arund Sweden - Starting in Copenhagen.

ESSW Vastervik to ESCF Malmen is not there NOT OK
ESCF Malmen to ESCK Bravalla is there OK (at least for the moment. I did this flight for a few minutes ago)
I have earlier suspected that flights is missing but cannot point out anything. But now I have evidens for the drop of flights.
I am so frustrated with the logbook in MSFS2024, this is probably the third time it has not saved my last flight And again it’s a 5 hour flight. Has anyone ever used FlightLog Analyzer?
This workaround actually seems to work. I thought that it was the last flight that got deleted (maybe the problem has shifted), so I usually did a second flight, just landing at the same airport. But that hasn’t worked in a while, so I stopped doing that.
So now it’s the first flight of the day that gets deleted, and just spawning in counts as a flight. Just have to remember to do this as well… Annoying nonetheless.
Yes, I use it. I like it. I also do the “restart” method. Without the method, FLA has shown the missed flights (no rhyme or reason as to what got dropped), and has helped me when I have forgotten to restart when I have been distracted a couple of times setting up the plane etc.
Also have problems with MSFS2024 losing flights in the logbook. I now use Flightlog Analyser but I even lose flights with that and have taken to checking after every flight. Thank goodness I always use Little Navmap whose logbook seems to be unbreakable and then I can input any missing flights into the organiser.
Of late I’ve been using simrate quite a lot and wonder if that has anything to do with it, although the flight I’ve just finished saved okay this time despite using simrate.
