As of now in MSFS 2024, aircraft cockpit panel flood lights do not work in daytime, even in overcast weather.
Reproduce with any airplane. Just spawn in overcast weather at daytime, and try to increase flood light intensity. They will not work. These lights are supposed to illuminate the panel. However, the integrity lights do work as expected.
One would also expect dome lights to work when you are in a spot where a building’s shadow blocks the sunlight entirely. Something is off with the lighting model.
