Hello,
Thanks for this great sim! It looks amazing!
I was wondering if there was a way so that we could fly by mouse like we did in FSX? I do have a joystick and rudder pedals but from time to time I just want to do a quick and fast flight and using my keyboard and mouse worked just fine in FSX. Wondering if there is a way to do this still and I just haven’t found it or if it’s something that can be added for quality of life?
Thanks!

I agree fully - Joystick desk space limitations and familiar with FSX keyboard & mouse controls. I use the mouse for ground steering and ailerons. I would like to see a downloadable control Profile for us FSX old-timers who helped make Flight Sims possible. Graphics look quite impressive on my GTX 1660 Ti at Medium High default. Now, if only I could control the aircraft and the views as I am accustomed. Also, as yet, there does not seem to be a user manual available ???

For those wondering, you actually can map the mouse to control surfaces. To do this you need to go to controls and click on the mouse. To the left side there is a “Filter” area. Make sure it is set to “ALL”. Then you can find the control surfaces that you can map to the mouse. However; since the mouse is the primary controller of the camera - I think there might be some conflicts there. If we had a “on and off” key combo like in FSX (think it was ALT + y if I can remember properly) then this might work. I haven’t done testing on it yet to confirm.
Yes, this is what I want as well. Trying to control a plane with the keyboard is ludicrous. I dont have a joystick, but use the mouse and not even having that as an option is crazy.

I need this also, flying with the keyboard is such a pain.
My Thrustmaster TCA Stick & Throttle Quadrant is arriving next month (cuz of the pre-order release date)
I want to fly even if it’s crappy xD

I can fly with the mouse - ailerons & elevator, without rudder control, and power with the mouse wheel. Finding these settings is a bit of a search through the list and experimenting was necessary using the “pause” during a flight. I had to disable all of the Mouse camera pan & zoom functions and assign them to the keyboard.
So I have remapped the controls. It doesn’t really work. It’s CRAZY sensitive even with my mouse sensitivity turned all the way down.
And it’s all jerky like it’s pressing the keys. It will not do anything then I am almost doing a barrel roll. In addition it means I cannot use the mouse for anything else as there is no ability to switch it off like there was in FSX.
EDIT: I tried turning the sensitivity all the way up and it made it a bit better. But sill not good.
Yeah, I think it just needs to be added into the game like it was in FSX.

Yep. Honestly if I had of known that this was the case, it would have been a deal breaker for me. In my situation I cannot use a joystick, it’s mouse and keyboard.
