Fly through Venezuela's Everlasting Lightning Storm

Lake Maracaibo
A lightning bolt fractures the night sky. Wings of phosphorescent pink unfold to illuminate Lake Maracaibo, a brackish bay that opens north to the Caribbean Sea. A quarter of Venezuela’s population lives in the highest concentration of lightning on Earth, 250 flashes per square kilometer (0.4 square miles) per year.

Awesome! I remember watching a documentary years ago about this. Can’t wait to check it out in MSFS with real world weather, thanks for the idea!

Went hunting for the thunderstorm out of SVSZ with real world weather this evening and it was clear! Will have to try again another night!

Better luck this evening, although MSFS rendered all the clouds as stratus type with no CB build ups anywhere to be seen…
