Please make the spool down of the engines visually from the outside, turning the engines out longer, so that they turn out slowly for at least 1 minute and do not come to a standstill after about 6 seconds, as if a FAN brake is in. This is my wish. Please, Please, The Spool Up is okay!

I am getting increasingly confused what this topic is about.

The last 100ish posts have been feature requests for the FBW team. But thatā€™s not what this forum is about.

The first posts state to help them or give them ā€˜the filesā€™. But Sebastian fixed their Autopilot recently, and it seems like they have the files since they are making changes to the cockpit?

There are posts asking for the devs to give the FBW recognition by mentioning them in an official place. But they were mentioned in Q&As and devlogs.

You could argue that this topic wants to give the FBW a place inside the official game. But there is a freeware section coming (and there is another topic for that). this mod is very unlikely to completely replace the vanilla version of the A320. I seriously doubt Asobo will ever hand over the development to an outside source over which they have little control. And do we even want that? Because that likely means weā€™ll get restrictions from ā€˜aboveā€™ in what we can do.

I believe back in the day, when this topic was new, this was about giving them a direct line with Asobo to ask questions about the SDK or request a development in a specific place of the SDK? But seen Sebastian fixed their autopilot this seems to be the case? What does Asobo even need to ask permission for from Airbus?

So what is this topic about?

This is an awesome project but I cant seem to get an acceptable frame rate in VR. Hopefully this will be improved.

When the thread was started, it was its aim to create a line of communication between Asobo and ambitious freeware project creators (mainly FBW). It pretty much succeeded in that regard.

Since then the interest in this project and its development is still very high. This thread has become a mediator between all participating parties - FBW, Asobo and the users.

Is anyone else experiencing issues with the new Dev edition? Seems like the plane is having a hard time following the approach pattern! Not sure what happened! It was working great before the latest edition! Nice sound work though! I hope they can make the strobe lights visible from the window views! That would be a nice addition.

I just tried it today too and the FBW A320 AP approach does not work! Not sure if anyone else is experiencing this. I deleted the FBW A320 to also see the change in frame rate since it was getting fairly bad with lots of stutters. The MSFS A320 AP works and follows the approach pattern perfectly. The frame rate is also12 to 15 fps higher! The stutters are a lot less and the sim seemed significantly smoother! I hate not using FBW since it has a lot of good things (including a significantly better flight model) but the the 12-15 fps decline frame rate is significant! With the MSFS A320 I am getting frame rates in the range of 40 to 55 which is fairly reasonable and smooth. Let me know if you all have a similar experience.

I donā€™t see the logic in implementing ā€œjust another A320ā€. If I was Aerosoft, Iā€™d definitely go for another brand and/or model given the conflict between the default A320, A320NX and their proposed model.

I agree. If they are smart they will put out an a330. I donā€™t think anybody will develop an a320 because the A32NX is going to be that good pretty soon already.

Stupid question: How do i do flap 3 landing without GPWS blaring out ā€œterrain terrainā€ at me?

I remember there is some button on instrument panel but cant figure out which one.

I had the same issue yesterday evening in the otherwise awesome FBW a320.

Having had a flawless flight from LOWI to LSGG and really enjoyed it (including perfect ILS approach), I decided to fly from LIRF to LFML IRF/ILS.

On this second flight, APPR did not function on approach to LFML (engaged, but no vertical diamond/ glideslope) resulting in an over-steep steep manual descent (at night) and 170kts on touchdown.

Iā€™m sure it will be sorted again soon and the fault could well lie with the game, as I didnt restart it before doing the second flight. (Although the fact that restarting between flights needs to be standard practice says a lot about the instability of the program)

Usually if you are too low youā€™re going to get the warning if landing gear is not deployed.

Make sure APR MODE is active on the MCDU.

This mode is activate by the module itself when crossing DECEL point, but sometimes it seem that it doesnā€™t.

Yes, each dev update add more things and the performance goes down. I have the same issue. 10 - 15 fps below the default A320.

Engines and electric system completely turned off in descent. Bug?? Plis help. 2 hours in flightā€¦u.u

Iā€™m assuming this means give FBW the ownership of the default model/aircraft in the sim - wow thatā€™s never going to happen! :slight_smile: from what Iā€™ve seen though a marketplace entry for this might be a thing and I totally applaud this thread for bringing a spotlight to a great piece of community content which Asobo have clearly shown a lot of respect to.

I did a couple of full flight with this mod and itā€™s seems pretty good over the default A320 provided.

However faced now some limitations with the MCDU :
Is it possible to change VOR1 & VOR2 frequencies and use them ?
Same question with ADF ?

Sometimes APP doesnā€™t work but not sure if it is related to ILS or maybe VOR DME approach only ?

Do you know if we could set an angle of descent from the auto pilot or only descent rate ?

Maybe the mod is still not complete and need more in depth work but this is still a good job in porogress.
