I am trying to understand using vnav
-
I am uploading route from the simbrief but it doesn’t populate all of the speed alt values as it does for pmdg 737. Shoul i fill it manually;?
-
There is no top of decent or something.

There is a waypoint called (DECEL) but I can not manipulate it and it is all blank. But in the videos there are some values Is it important?
Hi, which FBW version are you using? I believe that at the moment the VNAV function is only implemented in the development version.
I am using this version right now and everything is there. TOC, TOD and the various values.
If I think correctly, the DECEL point is a pseudo-waypoint (calculated by the computer) at which the speed has to be reduced in order to get the landing speed in time.
Correct. Additionally I believe reaching the DECEL point actually transitions the aircraft from descent to the APPR flight mode, so you will usually hear your engines spool down and if you are in managed speed, it will start slowing based on your flap positions.
Is it in the dev version already?? If so that’s great news. I haven’t used it in awhile, but last time I did, it was limited to the experimental version.
No VNAV in the dev version yet. Still only on experimental as far as I know.

I am using development version. Vnav is there, it goes to mcdu height and speed.
The problem is, when i upload simbrief route, most of the wp’s don’t have alt and speed values and i populate them manually. Also decel line is completely empty and i can not write any data to it by clicking
There’s still a long way to go in the VNAV department. It’s not quite there compared to the real aircraft but progress appears steady and it’s great just to have the basic interpretation that we currently have the in the exp version.
Until then you can expect features like auto population of constraints not to work properly, or at all.
I would recommend you read the FBW documentation here:
https://docs.flybywiresim.com/fbw-a32nx/support/exp/
VNAV is only in Experimental right now, not what you are seeing which is some of the managed/open climb/descent modes and constraints which have been in for a while.

Yes, this. ^ ^
VNAV is in experimental only. And it’s experimental(!) Although it runs quite well.
DECEL means deceleration. At this point(s) the FMS will reduce speed, if you’re on managed speed.
any update on when me might see VNAV in the development version of the a32nx or did I miss something at it is already in the development version?
As far as I know, VNAV is still only in the experimental version

I can’t find VNAV on any version. Can someone confirm it is in experimental version?? I really want to fly this plane but not without VNAV…
Yes, I have used it on Experimental. How are you “looking” for it, exactly?
VNAV was implemented in the Experimental A32NX about 7 months ago.
And I’ve been using it ever since.
320 Sim Pilot made a video about it back then
I have been able to us VNAV back when it was released in experimental mode. Now I can’t make it work, FMC doesn’t show T/D or other symbols VNAV has. I have checked that alt constraints are all good and wind information also. I just don’t get it why it is not working.
