Flew with you guys last night from Baghdad to Tehran and I wanted to thank you both and everyone else again. THAT was really fun!! Also, the trivia guy, i’m sorry i forget his name, that was really interesting and informative. I’m also a trivia junkie, but not on that gentleman’s level. Anyway, BIG thanks from me. I’ll be back for the next leg for sure.

Stage 4 is coming up Saturday, January 30. For the first time on this journey so far, we will be staying entirely in one country on this leg, Iran. The flight will depart from Tehran at 8pm ET / 5pm PT / 0100Z and arrive at Mashhad approximately 3.5 hours later. This is a group event open to pilots of any skill level. In addition to the Twitch stream (Twitch) with commentary and trivia from me, FactualGull, and AnimeBirder, we also have a Discord server where pilots flying along can talk with each other.

FYI that the VOR LBA is about 1.6 NM SE of UTAV. The rest of the nav points are right on top of the airports in the official PLN file on Dropbox.

Stage 9 is tonight! We’re finally exiting the Taklamakan Desert and emerging into some new scenery. Takeoff is from Dunhuang (ZLDH) at 8pm ET / 5pm PT / 0100Z and arriving in Lanzhou (ZLLL) approximately 3.5 hour later. As always, MSFS pilots can fly along with the group formation on the West USA server, or you can sit back, relax, and enjoy the in-flight beverage service while watching the stream at Twitch.
