I’ve been using FSEconomy for like 2 weeks now (It really is great, it grounds you into a feeling of flying a real plane, and thanks to someone who gifted me the actual C152) and I plan on taking it all the way home to Europe, so far I’ve been flying for 10 hours and I barely see any movement!
You’ll definitely earn the “Iron Butt” award for doing that trip in the 152. It’s a great little primary trainer and a nice weekend budget local traveler. But it’s about like driving a 1964 VW bug (with all of 40 hp) from Florida to Alaska. You’ll get there eventually, but you’ll never want to get in it again.
Wish you great tailwinds all the way!
Epic journey in a C152!!! I’ll keep an eye out for Updates! Will you need to buy some fuel tanks? I think there is a mod which provides a longer range.
Hey, it’s been a while and here I am after some flying, currently heading north, made my way from KHKY to KMKJ, one of the prettiest airports I’ve been at and I’m finally getting some American scenery that isn’t boring!
Afterwards I flew even further and made my way to KCRW, again with some awesome scenery along the way, today I plan on continuing, probably the same direction, we’ll see.
I’ve been using the keyboard for a while, pure suffering, then I bought the VKB Gladiator, day and night difference obviously, currently waiting for the Honeycomb quadrant which should arrive “Spring 2021” and wondering whether I should get rudder pedals or not…
I probably should post updates more frequently but honestly it’s been quite uneventful lately, left KCRW and went further north, I’ve reached the lake Erie area, very close to Canada now, plan on moving more east now, Montreal, Quebec, that kind of direction.
I’m flying around the world in an XCub and along the way, attempting to touch wheels to every country actually reachable IRL. From Minnesota to Kiev so far, I’m nearing 7,000 miles and 70 hours. Water crossings are the worst part. You’ll need the EKVG / Faroe Island scenery to successfully cross from Iceland to Scotland without cheating on fuel.
