I was a member of SATCO back then. That was not the reason for the split.

I’m covered already on that. I developed my own application years ago for my personal use. It only runs on Windows as it’s a WPF application but I don’t really care about the other platforms anyway as it was just for me.
Problem with Vatsim in VR is when it comes to writing down taxi instructions. Apart from that, it is great.

Boston has an excellent Vatsim chapter with tons of events. If you’re looking for a controller to experience ATC, you’re going to want to do it during a planned event for the best experience.
If you like flying on the west coast, there’s also a paid service that always has controllers… again, at certain airports.
