What does aircraft programming have to do with what he said?
He was saying the controller profiles should be aircraft dependent, and automatically switch to the aircraft being used when the plane is selected as current if a unique profile exists for the aircraft, otherwise, it should switch to a default configuration as initially created by the user.
The current incompatibilities between the MSFS controller interface and the Honeycomb and other controller products is a big problem for lots of people, and different aircraft need different configurations of bindings.
So, I happen to agree with his comment.
