Apologies if this is addressed elsewhere in this thread (3011 posts is a bit much to hand sift through), but does anyone know how we can assign keybinds to all the various default “Instrument Views” this aircraft has?
It has, easily, more than twice (maybe even 3x) the number that are accessible from the 1-10 keybinds. If you use Previous or Next Instrument View keybinds you can cycle past the 10th view and see all the additional ones setup by the developer. How can we access some of those directly without having to cycle through the entirety of them all?
I’m quite sure this has been asked before but what’s happening at the back of the cabin in this aircraft? Why is there a texture mirroring the cockpit? I regularly toy with the idea of purchasing this plane but then I see a video about it and am completely baffled by this. Do we have any information about this shortcoming of the interior modeling, and if it is planned to be fixed?
It’s the elephant in the otherwise pristine detailed, quality textured Elephant room.
I don’t mind it being mirrored because that was the case with the subject matter. I’d just like it to be an actual mirror or ideally a nice textured bulkhead in keeping with the rest.
Edit: don’t get me wrong, cracking plane, I’d buy it a second time, it just jars a little
You mean there was an actual mirror mounted on the back wall of the real aircraft that FlySimWare modeled? Even if that’s the case, they surely must’ve noticed it looked weird in the sim. I wish they changed it. On Xbox there’s no way to download mods for it.
Yep, I believe so. And yes it’s hard to imagine it wasn’t picked up as being a little sub-par. It is a minor thing, and I rarely “go back there” but it’s noticeable.
Before you take this discussion any further, please read the rest of the thread. Probably half of it is on this subject (ok, maybe a bit hyperbolic). As noted, you can download textures that change it I believe if you’re on PC. Yes, the plane that was modeled had it, several customers complained ad nauseum for a long, long time, and the developers said, “Nope, we’re not changing it”. Please don’t go on and bring it back up.
(sighs as the “what the heck is that mirror thing” subject is brought up… again… and fills up the the thread… again… smh)
Yes, I’ve got to say that I’m in total agreement with FlyingsCool5650 here. This is probably something which a few of us here would really, really, not care to revisit any time soon
Thankfully there is at least one texture mod available for those who are not happy with the developers original textures
No need to be so hostile about it. I understand the topic has been discussed before but if we all followed this logic then barely anything should be written in a given thread. I asked because I only recently started to evaluate the product. It costs relatively much so I wanted to pay attention to the details before I buy.
I totally understand and take on board your reaction here but I don’t think any of us intended to be hostile here so sincere apologies (at least from me) if it came over in this manner
It’s just that it was a subject that persisted for quite some time and it became, for some of us, somewhat tiresome to say the very least.
Once again, apologies. It wasn’t meant to be taken personally. It was just something that we did not care to revisit and revive once again
What’s hostile about any of those replies. The MS mods ask folks to use search before posting all the time so not sure how giving someone the same advice constitutes hostility.
To be fair, if an aesthetic “issue” like this is going to be a deciding factor as to whether or not you make a purchase, you must be extremely hard to please. Seriously, don’t base your “to buy or not to buy” thoughts on something like this. It’s an awesome aircraft, one of my favourite GA planes right now.
