Were these the 2024 compatibility files they provided? If they were, did you see this from their Discord server?
MARKETPLACE STORE:
These patches might work for those who purchsed from the MarketPlace store. But you have to wait until it gets added to your content manager as the Microsoft team is slowly moving the products to 2024. The patch needs to be dropped where the product is located in the 2024 sim, not the community folder.
I’m wondering if your issues are due to not having the compatibility files installed where they need to be.

Downloaded Marketplace aircraft and scenery live in the Official folder, not the Community one. Keep that in mind.

You are right and I did not explain my attempts correctly. I actually tried them in the Community folder and the Official 2020 and 2024 folders.
I will give it a try if no success without the patch today. Thank you!

OK. So I found out that the patch does not work for the MP version. The MP version is 4.5, the patch updates non-MP versions to 4.6. There is speculation on the FSW Discord channel that “Asobo makes new updates submitted by developers available on Tuesdays after they approve the submission.” Maybe this coming Tuesday there will be a MP update to 4.6? We can hope.
UPDATE: Without the patch, it turns out the landing and taxi lights CAN BE switched ON, but there is no light directed forward as can be seen in the screen shots below:
Side View
View from the Rear facing forward
Notice the landing lights appear bright when looking from the rear. Apparently these fixes are in the patch, currently not available for the MP version, but is fixed in the patched (4.6) non-MP version. So those of us with the MP version can look forward to night flight in the near future!

It would be nice if someone from MS could give some indication when the 4.6.0 will be available for streaming.
Since the 4.6.0 is already in distribution inside FS2020 I would guess they do have it submited.
Funny part is, the patch primarly adresses FS2024 compability issues and is only distributed in FS2020.
Since it is not allowed to tag community manager I hope that someone will read this.

Has anyone had success loading a .pln flight plan into the GNS 530? I had it working at one time but with MP version 4.5 I can’t seem to get it to work. The plan loads into the EFB but I can’t get it to send the plan to the GNS 530 avionics.
I cannot speak for the C414, but I’ve had issues with the GNS 530 importing a flight plan in the Albatross.
I suspect a change occurred with one of the sim’s patches, because I did have success with getting a FP loaded into the GNS in the past.
It looks like, maybe, a sim-wide GNS issue.

I have not tried the GNS 530, anyhow I would wait until the new patch Version 4.6.0 is available. Assuming you are playing in FS2024.
Still would hope to get some feedback from the community manager on the timing the patch will arrive also in FS2024.

Do these patches fix the TDS 750? I can’t use any of my FSW planes despite having come over in the marketplace to 2024 because the screens are all super dim.

Dim unless you change the time to one in mid to late morning ( need to see if it’s a specific time), then it brightens!
I do not know since the latest version is still pending and there is no timeline regarding this. At least the Support is not able to provide any timeline.
Sorry
It is sad that we cannot tag any community manager. The support could also not anwser this question.
I will give it another try, when will we get the patch that is supposed to fix issues in fs2024?
It does not help to get the patch in the wrong software.
Please may I ask someone from the community team to provide any feedback.
The patch was provided in FS2020 on January 2nd.
BTW the patch was released on the Flysimware store on December 15th. Almost a month ago!
You can look for it in a release in the not-too-distant future. FSW has said it was sent but must go through the proper checks and release procedures. With the holidays, that may take a little more time than usual, I suspect. But I, for one, am confident it will happen.

i just tried my chancellor in 2024 for hte first time
the instrument panel is different? everyone getting the same?
No I am using the GTN 750 and it looks to me the same. At least I did not notice any difference.
I’ve used both the GNS530 and GTN750 but haven’t noticed a difference. What is it that looks different to you?
i think this might be it, i got the gns530 in 2020 and the gtn750 in 2024
but i wonder why, and how do i change it?
If i recall correct you need to change the liverie.
Sylvester is correct, to expand on what he said above, there are – as I remember – 3 liveries for each airplane:
- one for the GNS530
- one for the PMS GTN 750
- one for the TDS GTN 750xi
Each one changes the panel layout, that might account for what you are seeing.
