Last night, we took the Flysimware Lear 35 up in VR on a livestream… and it was pretty incredible! This airplane is just amazing for early release… we were able to complete two legs and I didn’t make a complete mess of it, despite only having flown it twice before. Everything worked… pretty well. I’m still having an issue where the airplane won’t capture alt hold at the top-of-climb for some reason. And yes, I’m on the latest version of both the Lear and the TDS 750nxi. Oh, and the bindings I have set up to move the ‘barrel’ up and down seem to be unreliable… but we were able to handle that just fine! Two pretty good landings, too!
Honestly, I think we will be flying this one a LOT in VR on upcoming live streams. It is just too much fun to fly! And that cabin… at one point, someone in chat commented that the people looked real!
Let me know what you think and I hope you enjoy!

As long as you have ALTSEL enabled, whether you use VS, SPD or just eyeball it, it should capture the altitude. The only time I have had it fail is where ALTSEL got cancelled for some reason.
Thanks! Interesting… I didn’t have a pitch mode selected… I had altsel selected and it was armed, but was flying up using the ‘barrel’ to control pitch/airspeed in the climb… I am def not an expert in this - I saw it on someone’s youtooooob video. Guess I should try to use IAS mode in the climb like I do for other bizjets and turboprops?

Either should work. If you are using the barrel, and your attitude is changing that would indicate the AP is on, so it should have captured. You should also hear a tone when you are within 1000ft of your pre-selected altitude. IAS/SPD also works nicely, though I have not tried its “M” mode yet, other than to confirm I can enable it. I assume it just holds speed based on the outer Mach scale instead.
