Never been a sports car fan in my life.Until now. I have got it and love it. This is flying like it was when i started simming. Only one flight as yet, but cant wait for the next one.

Good one! Flying a lightly loaded Lear is a lot like driving a sports car, sometimes a badly mannered sports car too LOL! Cheers

Flight two under the belt and it went like a charm. (EGBP Kemble to LOWI Innsbruck and that was one fast flight) I find the workload on the lower side, because I am old enough to be far more familiar with this style of flying than with glass and am used to working out descents with a rule of thumb along with flight planning with a piece of string, but the GTN750XI lets you place a Vertical Speed required (VSR) into the main GTN screen and thus, vertical navigation is actually quite similar to that in the Duke. Boy oh boy does the Lear move. You can really get places even if you only have a short time at the sim and it has opened up all of Europe for me on that alone. No bugs or issues encountered thus far and already idly thinking of where to go on flight three at the weekend.

PS The other useful toy used today was the Streamdeck. I have the Lear 35A profile loaded onto both the XL and the Streamdeck Plus. These are really useful to reduce the need to swivel views
around and are so very capable in their own right.

Does anybody know if ADI and HDI are coupled with GNS530 system? I could not get glideslope indicators working on these two when I was doing RNAV approach. The approach was selected and activated in GNS530 but both ADI and HDI were showing red GS flag.
Many months ago when I was flying with GTN750 I had glide slope guidance working properly.

That is something I was wondering about as well. I was hoping to try this today, but there is a slightly exotic RNAV approach into Innsbruck and I chickened out as I know the area well, ending up with a visual instead. I have already pencilled this in as a test point for flight 3 but I expect that the other guys here will sort us out before then.

Question time for the experts, it has been that long since I have had to do it that I have pretty much forgotten how.

I would really like to bind the Barrel switch (rotary part) to my Logitech multi panel. That available trim wheel there looks perfect for the job. I use Axis and Ohs as the interface to the MP, radio panel and all of my Streamdecks.

Also, can anybody recommend àny tutorials on other bindings for the the L35A? I use FS2020 here and love the aircraft so much that I would like to make a proper job of it.

Thanks in advance to you all!

That is because the GNS530 isn’t able to give you vertical guidance on RNAV approaches, afaik. It just gives you the lateral guidance. You can use the advisary VNAV function to give you the VS required.

So it’s GNS530 limitation? I know about VNAV calculations but it’s not very useful for final approach glide slope.

To my knowledge it is.

The 530 can do LPV approaches (loacalizer performance with vertical guidance) which should provide a glideslope and the autopilot will follow like a ILS
