FMC and Route data display vanishes, but active?

I started the sim wiht no flightplan, filled out the entire FMC route information etc, then confirmed the route data was showing the magenta route on the EICAS and VFR map

went into windows to check an arrivals chart, returned to the sim and the magenta path was GONE and all RTE data along with Dep/Arr in the FMC was blank (possibly only a blank display)

I restart the sim, go through the process again, get in the air and hit cruise altitude.. hop out of the sim, go back and everything is blank again! No FMC RTE data displayed and no magenta line, and PROG page is blank

HOWEVER… I note my radio is tuned to the current waypoint (BADEG). I wait, the next waypoint (EBEXI) appears and AP changes my course.

A short while later I note ATC has been silent, so I ask for vectors. I get a response to head 190 even though my EICAS and course show it is at 124 degrees, then cancels my flightplan. It is like the Route and ATC have just stopped at some point

gonna land this puppy, but I think I will have to contact my destination for ‘vfr’ landing

No magenta line, an APPARENTLY blank Route page and on course to BADEG at 132, no route shown on VFR.

Blank progress page on FMC

No magenta line, NONRO at 124degrees on the EICAS, ATC advising 190, note DECEL is still displayed

It seems there is now a massive mismatch between my GPS position and IRS

I had the same thing happen in the tbm. Route disappeared from the fmc, but continued to show steerpoint info on the cdi. I do not know what I did to lose the FMC route.

the only thing I can see is hopping out of the sim… which was running in windowed mode.

something else strange… my first attempt I was going to sturggle to taxi a 747 past the parked GA planes at a too small airport. At one point when I came back… not a single plane to be seen or ground traffic

something under the hood lost the plot. It’s something to do with route progress. ATC, RTE, the Magenta track and FMC position/route info all lost the plot at the same time.

At least i now know to just continue… atc was all over the joint for landing. On the one hand it had zero clue where I was and went totally silent, then it chastised me for starting my descent, yet apparently failed to know I needed to descend urgently.
