Font - Unable to Read Script

Description of the issue:

Font appears unreadable and “blocky”. I have uninstalled and reinstalled this three times to no avail. I have also adjusted screen resolution and that didn’t work.

[PC Only] Did you remove all your community mods/add-ons? If yes, are you still experiencing the issue?
All files and folders related top MSFS 2020 have been eliminated from my computer in anticipation of new game install.

Sounds like you maybe don’t have one of the supported windows language packs installed? What is the windows version and which windows language packs are installed?

Also could you provide screenshots, it helps a lot understanding those visual issues.

Hello and thanks for responding. I have Windows 11 Home and English is the only language pack that I have installed.

Thank you. That’s the 1st report I am seeing with that issue. Could you post a screenshot of you MSFS graphic settings ?

It’s using the wrong font. It looks like you have a anothe font installed in Windows which has the same name as the font that FS24 is trying to use.

Hi @Sect31 - What graphics card & driver version are you using?
I’ve seen this issue on my Arc GPU, which was only resolved when Intel released a new driver for MSFS 2024.

13th Gen Intel(R) Core™ i5-13400F 2.50 GHz

So I ran my driver updates for Intel a short while ago and I’m still receiving an error telling me the program is going shut down. Unless I’ve missed another update, it seems to me that the next logical approach to this would be to somehow keep the graphics from over clocking. I’m just not sure how to do that.

Also, I increased my resolution up about 3-4 levels and noticed that the script was perfectly readbale, crisp and clear after that adjustment, but the tradeoff was getting booted out due to the graphics issue. So I’m once again standing on the street with my piece of cardboard which says, “Will do anything for a fix to the nightmare known as MSFS 2024.”

The only reason the script appears clear is because I boosted the screen resolution, BUT, it won’t last because shortly I’ll receive an error window pop up essentially telling me that the program is going to shut down soon - I have also included that in this email.

I honestly don’t even recall what resolution I was using with MSFS 2020, and I’ve only had MSFS 2024 for a few days with no flights under my belt due to this issue. I only began toying with the graphics settings when I saw this mentioned by someone online. I CAN tell you that any smaller resolution will cause the script to go back to its unreadable form. Right now at this very moment, I’m looking at the General Settings screen and the script is perfect! BUT, as I stated earlier, if I attempt to load a flight plan or begin a flight, I’ll receive the error window.
