For GA , alternative throttle to Honeycomb?

If you dont want to fork out the cash for the Honeycomb, the Logitech is your best option. I have one. It works great, and it’s fairly cheap. If you want to move into multi-engine or airliners in the future, you can always add a second one to expand it. And that’ still cheaper than the Honeycomb.

Price wise from cheapest to most expensive for throttles, it’s Logitech, Honeycomb, and everything else. Except maybe the Airbus throttle somwhere between, although it’s a mixed bag whether you’ll like it if you don’t fly the Airbus.

Thanks .
I already have the Honeycomb yoke ; just received it .
For the throttle , it’s not so much the cost .
More so size and complexity , and don’t anticipate flying airliners .

GA single and twin props , and maybe small jets .

I mostly fly twin props. If I did not have a Bravo I would probably go with 2x Logitech throttles. But I would miss the trim wheel, flaps, and AP controls.

The gear and flaps switches and the autopilot and heading bugs are game changers for anything with an autopilot. In my opinion anyway.

thanks ; then maybe I’ll go for the Bravo after all ; if I can find one .

Logitech have panels that will give you AP controls, switches (including a gear lever), and they also have a radio panel.

I have the Honeycomb Alpha/Bravo and a Logitech radio panel mounted to my Alpha.

For GA I almost never need to touch the mouse from takeoff to landing.

This is my setup. But in single engine complex configuration.

I’m trying to figure out what is going on with the throttle there. Is the far right switch allowing a secondary set of functions on the left knob?

Yes, through Joystick Gremlin/vJoy I have setup a secondary switch. Right now its just for knobs but it would work with buttons as well. Now I have 10 knobs instead of 5.

Even after the “heading bug” is fixed I’m still going to use Joystick Gremlin/vJoy because of the flexibility it gives me. Some other buttons I have setup with two different functions depending on if its a short/long press.

A man after my own heart. I’ll have to get the Saitek radio panel.
