Ford Trimotor 5AT | TukanFlightSim

Take my money!

Wow! Impressive video. Love the music and shots.
There are just so many liveries!! That texturing work looks fantastic, but to me, the real star is the cockpit. I’ve always said that the window frames are a pretty good indication of how much work and love has been put on a plane. Often forgotten and rushed
It’s a small detail, but if that bit is right, you know the rest of the plane will be as good.

The video looks great, but I was hoping to hear the engines. Is this addon using custom sounds, or Asobo sounds?

The sounds are custom.

I’m glad I’m not the only one who thinks so

Jorge,

N414H does not currently have red paint on it. Is this some historical version?

Here are pictures I took of N414H when it arrived at WAAAM.

Here are pictures of it in the museum with detail close-ups.

Of the 12 pictures of N414H in “The Ford Tri-Motor” by William Larkins, none of them have the livery you show.

I was planning to use your N414H to create a flight video of WAAAM’s Trimotor flying in the Columbia River Gorge out of the Hood River Airport and from WAAAM’s campus (which a scenery creator has created**) for YouTube. This would not be possible with your current N414H livery. Would it be possible for you to create a livery of N414H as it currently stands?

Thanks!

If possible, I’d like the N414H livery to match its current state as well.

There are several versions of the N414H liveries in the addon.
One is the one above. The other one is the one I showed you a while ago

Well I think all of the liveries look awesome! Can’t wait to fly the US air mail routes in this beauty

About the wonderful “arrows of america” (US Mail Routes) project, could someone tell me what routes were flown by the Tin Goose?

Apart from the material already linked by @VortecMalibu just a few posts above, your best resource is Airline Timetable Images. Great website -though it’ll take some digging through long-past airlines like Stout and Transcontinental Air Transport. There may be sites that are easier to use but I don’t know of any that’s more comprehensive.

Hope this helps.

Awesome! Sounds great, I’m anxious to show it to my dad. His first flight was in N414H.

Sorry, I hadn’t noticed that on the map from the first link there was a legend indicating which routes were flown under the ‘mail contract’.

The pilots of the tin goose who flew those routes also used the arrows of the mail routes or had some other procedure? I ask because I imagine they would fly at a higher altitude and it would surely be harder to locate them. I suppose they used other references.

This looks so great that I’m starting to get antsy. I can only hope that “soon” means “sometime today or maybe tomorrow”! Move over MD-11, I want a different 3-holer

I remember the default one that came with FS9, complete with a mission where you were supposed to fly aerobatics!

I watched a lot of Trimotor videos on YouTube yesterday in anticipation. I’m looking forward to replicating Harold Johnson’s antics, as seen here: https://www.youtube-nocookie.com/embed/Hkix3Q94N44

I guess I watched too many videos, as I dreamt about Tukan’s release. I hope it comes out priced less than the 50 USD it was in my dream!

I have been holding out on buying ANY Tri-motor (I think there are 2 in the marketplace) waiting specifically for this one!

I forced my family to take a ride in EAA’s NC8407 last year, What a blast. My father paid the little extra to ride right seat, the pilot let him have the controls for a min. or so. Very fun experience, and my wife and kids got over the fact that they were in a 90+ year old plane pretty quickly.

The plane was loud and lumbering. Just kind of floated off the runway, and again when landing just kind of floated down again. Very smooth flight. You could smell the exhaust fumes from the engine during the flight. The whole experience was just great!

I’ve been really looking forward to this one ever since he first announced it

I actually really liked the AH trimotor and flew it a lot, despite it lacking in certain areas, but I haven’t been able to touch it knowing that this was coming out!
